Garrett County Government Animal Shelter

Through the services and initiatives we provide at the HART Animal Center, including as adoptions, rescue & transport, and no-cost and low-cost spay/neutering, HART's aim is to save the lives of homeless animals in Garrett County and western Maryland.

Every year, the charity offers services, veterinary treatment, education, and shelter to more than 10,000 neighborhood residents and dogs.

There are always great dogs and cats up for adoption at the Allegany County Shelter.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called Happy Go Lucky Mastiff Rescue offers mistreated, neglected, and abandoned dogs a safe haven where they can heal, learn to trust people, and eventually find a forever home.

We are a non-profit, 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization with an in-home base that is trained in the medical supervision of each kitten that is up for adoption.

"The Humane Society of Washington County, located in Hagerstown, Maryland, exists to promote the welfare of companion and domestic animals via educational programs and activities that minimize pet overpopulation, support fostering, enrich adoptions, and encourage responsible pet guardianship."
