Rescue Village

Since 1992, the charity organization Greyhound Adoption of Ohio has been committed to finding loving homes for retired racing greyhounds.

In 2010, when Gina Lutes-Finley, our founder and executive director, decided to start her own rescue after spending many years working for other rescues, we received our 501(c)3 designation. Her main concern is the health and welfare of every animal we have the opportunity of helping, as well as making sure that each one finds their very own happy, loving, "furever" home.

Giving abandoned dogs a happy ending is our top priority. We rehome dogs regardless of how they ended up in shelters or whether they just require rehoming because of emergencies in their household.

A skilled team of enthusiastic cat lovers known as Viva Los Gatos Cat Rescue is committed to saving and placing stray, abandoned, and mistreated cats and kittens in the greater Cleveland area in loving, permanent homes.

The Geauga County Dog Wardens are in charge of collecting stray dogs and handling dog complaints. Once the dogs are in the shelter, we take care of them until their owners come to get them or we find them a new forever home.

The Valley Save-A-Pet organization aids in the rehabilitation of stray dogs and cats and finds them suitable, loving homes. Until they are adopted, cats and kittens are raised in loving foster homes or a private boarding home.
