The Bath Animal Shelter, the predecessor to the Finger Lakes SPCA, was established in 1949. As a nonprofit, the local community and individual donors support us. We provide service to the nearby communities in West/Central New York State's Steuben County.

In 1968, a small, scared terrier did her best to protect and take care of her new puppies while hiding behind the boards of an old barn in the remote, agricultural hamlet of Delhi, New York. She was in a vulnerable situation because she had no food and limited shelter.
