We are a Non Profit 501-3c that assists in reuniting owners with found and missing pets. Along with providing assistance and shelter, we help abandoned and surrendered animals find new, permanent homes.
32. Hearts and Tails Animal Alliance
501(c)(3) non-profit Hearts and Tails Animal Alliance, Inc. is situated in New Hampshire. Our story is similar to many others in that we are a group of animal enthusiasts and long-time volunteers who, while on vacation in Puerto Rico, encountered a black dog whose situation was so dire that we felt obliged to intervene.

Maureen Cahill established Pet Tails Rescue in March 2012. Our facility, which is used for adoptions, training, and quarantine, is situated on Route 4 near Northwood, New Hampshire. A group of passionate volunteers who are committed to the rescue and placement of homeless dogs and cats run and assist the Rescue on a full-time basis.

Second chances are very important to the New Hampshire Humane Society. We are committed to helping lost or abandoned animals find devoted families as well as short-term shelter and care. We support treating animals with kindness and compassion. In addition to offering educational programs and community services, we also support responsible pet ownership and the human-animal link. We work tirelessly to prevent cruelty to animals and forge a more humane and kind community.
