Brown County Humane Society

Animal Care and Control, a division of the Department of Public Works, manages the animal shelter for the City of Bloomington and assists with animal control issues for the community.

The Monroe County Humane Association (MCHA) is committed to advancing animal welfare, enhancing the bond between people and animals, and ensuring that everyone in our community has access to veterinary care and humane education.

In an effort to ensure the safety of both residents and animals in the neighborhood, we advocate responsible pet ownership, assist with the housing and care of stray and abandoned domestic animals, look into complaints of animal mistreatment and bites, and promote pet adoption.

Our goal is to help animals in need find loving, permanent homes while also offering our neighborhood essential animal-related services.

The goal of the Columbus Animal Care Services Department is to safeguard and improve the welfare, health, and safety of both animals and community members.
