Animal Rescue Fund

Our goal is to care for stray, abandoned, and abused animals in our neighborhood and help them find loving homes. In addition to reducing the number of stray and abused animals, our goal is to raise awareness of local laws governing animals and animal care, connect people to resources, and promote animal welfare.

Our goal is to save every animal's life who comes to our sanctuary, to love and care for them until they are either adopted into loving homes or spend the rest of their lives there.

Our mission is to advocate for the humane treatment of all animals, assist lost pets in finding their owners, and assist homeless cats and dogs in finding loving forever homes.

Our intention to increase public awareness of animal cruelty and care. In order to educate the public about responsible pet ownership, humane animal care, and the value of the human-animal bond, we have developed number of initiatives over the years.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Blackford County Animal Shelter, Inc. For Blackford County, Hartford City, and Shamrock Lakes, we offer animal control services.

Pat Burton had numerous missions to create a better animal world in Henry County, much like Noah had a mission to build an ark. . . for those unable to express themselves.
