Blackford County Animal Shelter

The Jay County Humane Society is a tiny, nonprofit, limited-admissions shelter dedicated to helping stray, abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals find loving, permanent homes.

Through education, rescue, law enforcement, and pet adoption, the Bluffton-Wells Animal Shelter aims to protect the public's health and safety, stop overpopulation, stop animal neglect, and stop animal cruelty.

"Midwest Pet Refuge serves East Central Indiana. MPR is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. We take in abandoned, unwanted, injured, and stray animals. We vet them and find them new homes."

We provide assistance to stray, unwanted, and homeless animals in Jay and the adjacent counties. Our main priorities are providing aid to animals in need and teaching people about safe pet ownership. A 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, Midwest Pet Refuge.

Our goal is to care for stray, abandoned, and abused animals in our neighborhood and help them find loving homes. In addition to reducing the number of stray and abused animals, our goal is to raise awareness of local laws governing animals and animal care, connect people to resources, and promote animal welfare.

The Animal Rescue Fund's (ARF) goal is to spread the message that we promise to love all animals through placement, medical attention, prevention, and education.
