To enforce all state, county, and local laws in Frederick County in order to stop animal cruelty, abuse, and neglect. We provide homes for stray animals in secure and caring settings. To promote an aware and compassionate society, we inform the public about all concerns relating to animals.

The Frederick Friends of Our County Animal Shelter (FFOCAS) is here to assist and support the Frederick County shelter's lifesaving efforts.

Pet owners rely on us to take care of the requirements of their cherished animals. We are experts dedicated to providing pet supplies of the finest caliber.

The Animal Welfare League of Frederick County (AWLFC) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to animal welfare and rescue.

Our goal is to remove older hounds from shelters who have been abandoned or are in risk of being put to death. Most of the dogs we accept are basset hounds, beagles, and mixes who are 10 years of age or older. Our dogs have an average age of 12 years.

The goal of our rescue is to help stop abuse of and inform the public about the Shetland sheepdog breed, also known as the sheltie.
