The Animal Control Office manages rabies-related public safety issues, enforces the State of Michigan's dog laws, and grants dog licenses. Only two Animal Control Officers and an Animal Shelter Officer oversee the Gratiot County Animal Shelter. We don't manage wildlife.

Welcome to Dalis to the Rescue, a website whose mission is to inform visitors about the duties that should be considered before picking a pet. In exchange, WE can reduce the number of euthanized and mistreated animals.

215. Ahimsa Safe Haven

Domestic cats, farm animals, and fish are all protected at Ahimsa Safe Haven, a farm sanctuary. Our mission is to rescue farmed animals, fish, and cats and to educate people about these wonderful creatures in order to contribute to the creation of a more compassionate and amiable world. Our adoptables program allows us to adopt cats in addition to helping to foster other animals and providing permanent homes for our inhabitants.
