Kitten Rescue

A community-focused animal rescue and adoption facility run entirely by volunteers, Santé D'Or Foundation is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization with the Federal ID number 68-0547925. It is based in Los Angeles, California.

The two French physicians Drs. Maroteaux and Lamy, who first described the condition in 1963, are the namesakes of the Maroteaux-Lamy syndrome. Before realizing that children also suffered from this disorder, these doctors first identified it in Miniature Pinscher dogs.

In Los Angeles, California, betterTogether Forever provides resources and referrals to at-risk, under-resourced, under-served, and housing-challenged pet parents so they can keep their pets, keep them safe and healthy, and NOT have to give them up, abandon them on the streets, or surrender them to an animal shelter.

It has been 153 years since the City of Los Angeles Animal Services Department was founded. Saving animals' lives who find up at one of the six city shelters is one of the Department's primary responsibilities.

Service animals are not pets; they are working animals. A dog can only be trained to perform a job or task that directly relates to a person's disability.
