Anderson Humane Society, Inc.

The purpose of Anderson County Animal Care & Control is to house and care for the animals under its control in a way that promotes humane treatment.

A 501c3 nonprofit animal adoption facility called Woodford Humane Society is situated near Versailles, Kentucky. Since 1975, we have welcomed thousands of animals and provided housing and care for unwanted and homeless pets. We work hard to place them all in decent, devoted homes.

A managed intake no-kill shelter for dogs and cats is LIFE House for Animals. Our goal is to successfully facilitate animal adoptions, prevent pet overpopulation, educate the public about animal issues, and strengthen the bond between humans and animals.

The Franklin County Humane Society's goals are to care for stray animals in our region, find homes for as many as possible, and enhance animal welfare in our neighborhood.

Find committed, loving homes for retired racing greyhounds; provide families with continuing assistance following adoption; educate people about the greyhound breed; and foster harmony and cooperation within the community of retired racing greyhounds.

To uphold the community's and its animals' health and wellbeing and to foster public support for the humane treatment of all animals.
