The Lancaster Center serves as a community hub and is committed to reuniting missing pets with their owners, finding new homes for adoptable pets, and offering low-cost services to the neighborhood.

Four people—Joyce Rupp, Penny Jordan, John and Connie Kondravy—were active at the Lancaster County Humane League in 1983 as board members or volunteers. They came to the conclusion that someone needed to offer a 24-hour service to assist the sick, injured, and trapped animals as they learned more about the need of the residents and animals of Lancaster County.

Through its collaboration with Pets for Patriots, Lancaster Center for Animal Life-Saving promotes dog and cat adoptions to veterans.

The goal of the Furever Home Adoption Center, which first opened its doors in October 2010, is to lessen the suffering of stray animals. In Lancaster County, there is a no-kill, cage-free facility called Furever Home.

In Columbia, Pennsylvania, the Columbia Animal Shelter is committed to saving and rehoming companion animals in need. We are dedicated to offering the neighborhood where we are headquartered high-quality medical treatment and adoption services.
