The Stafford SPCA is a 501(c)3 charity, no-kill organization with the mission of rescuing and enhancing the lives of local animals. We are dedicated to helping disadvantaged animals, enlightening the public, and ending animal abuse and abandonment.

Approval for 501c3 Non Profit. based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Good day! We are a small group that helps canines on death row in VA (and soon more states) have a second chance.

The Animal Control Division's goals are to ensure the peaceful coexistence of people and animals, to uphold the comprehensive animal laws of Stafford County and the Commonwealth of Virginia, to care for stray animals in our care at the pound humanely, and to inform Stafford residents about proper handling, bite prevention, rabies control, and emergency preparedness.

The mission of the Old Dominion Humane Society is to reduce the number of animals that are needlessly put to death by rescuing canines from high-kill shelters and educating the public about animal rescue.

By rescuing and caring for stray, abandoned, mistreated, and hurt animals, it is our goal to end animal cruelty. Our goal is to CARE for animals by offering them veterinary care, microchipping, spaying/neutering, and loving foster care homes before placing them in permanent homes. Additionally, we will inform the public about the value of spaying and neutering canines as well as proper canine health and behavioral care.
