The DFW Humane Society was established in 1967 and is a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter committed to giving abandoned and unwanted animals a second opportunity through adoption.

A 26,000-square-foot, cutting-edge animal care complex was built by the City of Irving in 2010 and shared with the DFW Humane Society. It contains cat condominiums with window views, a dog park, and roomy kennels.

Due to a lack of staff, the Animal Shelter is currently closed on Mondays. This will free up Shelter personnel to provide animal care their full attention.

According to state law, you must notify the City where the bite happened if you own an animal that has bitten someone or if you have been the victim of an animal bite.

The Coppell Humane Society is a non-profit, tax-exempt rescue group with a 501(c)(3) status. We don't have a specific location where we work; instead, we use foster homes.

Our mission is to ensure that every animal is treated humanely and to help and shelter lost animals.
