Honoring Hope and Faith Rescue

The oldest continually operating "no-kill" animal shelter in the Houston metro area is Special Pals, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to animal welfare. It was formed in 1979.

A nonprofit animal welfare group whose mission is to place stray and abandoned animals in loving homes.

The provision of shelter, adoption, humane education, spay/neuter services, inexpensive wellness care, and community outreach for animals in need.

Citizens For Animal Protection is dedicated to: providing shelter, rescue, and loving homes for stray animals; promoting respect and compassion for all animal life; offering humane education to avoid animal abuse; and bringing attention to the needs of animals in the community.

Over 4,000 dogs have been saved by Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue since its founding in 1999!

Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization devoted to the health and welfare of the boxer breed, has a chapter in Houston called Lone Star Boxer Rescue.
