The goal of all we do is to keep animals out of shelters. Our goal is to alter how we feel and think about having and caring for animals.

Northshore Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue and community veterinary clinic headquartered in Covington, LA. We are an independent, non-governmental charity that does not receive any tax funds

The shelter doesn't take up stray animals from the parish, accept donations, or accept owner surrenders. Dogs are the only animals served by the shelter.

The Animal Shelter offers unwanted or stray animals a clean, safe place to stay. All year long, we have a large selection of animals available for adoption.

The St. John the Baptist Parish Animal Shelter provides services for companion animals owned by parishioners, and Friends of the SJAS is here to help them.
