The Animal Shelter offers unwanted or stray animals a clean, safe place to stay. All year long, we have a large selection of animals available for adoption.

The goal of all we do is to keep animals out of shelters. Our goal is to alter how we feel and think about having and caring for animals.

We actively look into allegations of cruelty in our parish, and the majority of the animals we have available for adoption have come from those investigations.

The Office of Animal Control homes and cares for animals picked up by Animal Control Officers as well as those animals brought to the animal shelter by private residents.

Take Paws Rescue enacts this objective by extracting pets from shelters and preparing them for transit to fosters, adopters, rescue organizations, and other shelters around the U.S. in need of acceptable pets.
