Hale County Animal Shelter

In the rural area of Bibb County, Brent, Alabama, we try to locate homes for or rescue for animals (near Tuscaloosa).

East Alabama Humane Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to rescuing and caring for abandoned, neglected, and homeless animals. Our goal is to provide these animals with shelter, medical attention, and loving homes through our adoption services. We also focus on educating the community about responsible pet ownership and the importance of animal welfare. With the support of compassionate volunteers and donors, we strive to create a safe and loving environment for all animals. Our goal is to provide the tools, initiatives, and knowledge necessary to create a more compassionate society that appreciates animals, encourages kindness and compassion toward them, supports responsible pet ownership, and strengthens the link between animals and people.

The Humane Society of West Alabama is a nonprofit, no-kill organization that was established in 1971. Since we have no overhead expenses, the majority of the money we raise goes directly toward helping the dogs and cats in our care. We receive no funding from any national humanitarian group or governmental body. To keep doing our job, we rely on donations and fundraisers.
