The Dogs Den

Dedicated to protecting companion animal lives through spaying and neutering, pet fostering and adoption, and educational initiatives, PAWS is a no-kill animal rescue and spay/neuter organization that was founded in 1979. We are a 501(c)3 membership-based organization made up entirely of volunteers, and we are not funded by the government.

The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc.'s goal is to improve society for both people and animals through cooperation, protection, education, and compassion.

Providing medical care, spaying or neutering, and adoption for cats and kittens in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding area.

To actively seek a permanent home for each cat or kitten that is rescued and to provide every cat that comes through the rescue loving care, regardless of their circumstances or medical condition.

The goal of the society is to prevent animal cruelty effectively, to uphold all animal protection laws, and to ensure that anyone breaking these laws is apprehended, found guilty, and punished in a legal manner.
