Josephine County Animal Shelter

The Rogue Valley Humane Society seeks to prevent pet overpopulation so that there are no longer any homeless animals and provides compassionate care for stray, unwanted, displaced, and abandoned animals.

We are exactly like you! Shelter Friends is an all-volunteer organization that noticed a need in our community and stepped up to fill it. We began with four people gathering around a kitchen table and have grown to include dozens of volunteers who assist our local shelter animals.

Our rescue operates entirely from foster homes, thus there is no place where people can come to see the animals.

The Animal Control Division is overseen by the Josephine County Sheriff's Office. The Animal Control Division enforces domestic animal licensing and control rules and state statutes.
