Lehman Animal Shelter

As we begin the new year, 97 of the 1,462 adorable pups and kits we cared for are still in our custody. We met new volunteers, foster parents, adoptive parents, transporters, and rescue partners, as well as new friends.

All of them, with very few exceptions, may be recovered from abuse and neglect and become valuable members of our society. We think that every single person has their own angel looking over them, and we are merely here to assist them on their trip home.

Only dogs and cats that are up for adoption or are in stray holding and waiting to enter the adoption program are housed at the Brenham Pet Adoption Center.

The brand-new, state-of-the-art Brenham Pet Adoption Center is run by the City of Brenham Animal Services Department.

Our goal is to support the community's efforts to safeguard the health, welfare, and safety of both people and animals. Our animal control officers have the authority to cite anyone who violates the current city ordinance or an applicable state statute by possessing an animal that is prohibited by that ordinance.
