Our goal is to save the lives of needy animals that would not be able to survive without our support by offering low-cost spay-neuter services and life-saving medical care.

As a nonprofit organization, the Humane Society is committed to stopping animal abuse. We are committed to making the world a better and happier place.

501(c)(3) charitable organization Western Illinois Animal Rescue, Inc. (WIAR) is registered. We were established in 2000 by a group of compassionate Warren County, Illinois residents who wished to save stray animals. A "NO KILL" organization is WIAR. Except in extreme cases where it is medically necessary, we never put any of the animals in our care to death. We are entirely run by volunteers.

We are a tiny rural hospital with open entry. We collaborate closely with animal rescue organizations and no-kill shelters that have a valid Non-Profit 501(c)(3) designation from the Department of Agriculture.
