We are a tiny rural hospital with open entry. We collaborate closely with animal rescue organizations and no-kill shelters that have a valid Non-Profit 501(c)(3) designation from the Department of Agriculture.

501(c)(3) charitable organization Western Illinois Animal Rescue, Inc. (WIAR) is registered. We were established in 2000 by a group of compassionate Warren County, Illinois residents who wished to save stray animals. A "NO KILL" organization is WIAR. Except in extreme cases where it is medically necessary, we never put any of the animals in our care to death. We are entirely run by volunteers.
