The mission of Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter (P.A.W.S.) is to establish and maintain a safe haven animal shelter that fosters proper health, care, and handling of our "guests," prevent overpopulation and cruelty in our community, and assist in the placement of stray and unwanted animals into loving homes. Since we began in 2005, we have helped about 500 stray or abandoned animals in Pendleton County.
