Animal Friends of Barbour County

Animal Friends of Barbour County is a volunteer-run group committed to rescuing the lives of abandoned, mistreated, abandoned, and stray companion animals in our little town in rural West Virginia.

In Randolph County, West Virginia, and the surrounding areas, RCHS has dedicated more than 50 years to assisting abused, neglected, and abandoned animals.

We are a tiny non-profit company founded in 2015. As locals of Upshur County, West Virginia, we are acutely aware of the need in our neighborhood.

Every savable animal that comes into our care will be saved, as promised by our shelter. Even at the request of the owner, we never put healthy or treatable animals to sleep.

The dogs that enter our county's animal shelter are cared for by the Taylor County Humane Society, and we work hard to place adoptable pups.
