Wilson County No Kill Animal Shelter

By offering shelter, care, adoption, rescue, and community education, it is our mission to safeguard and enhance the lives of dogs and cats.

A publicly approved Pepsi grant helped launch Paws Ranch Rescue & Animal Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in 2010. Our only sources of funding are grants, contributions, and the assistance of our devoted volunteers.

We provide affordable boarding to 501c3 rescue organizations who require a temporary home for their animals.

Society For Animal Rescue & Adoption is known as SARA. As one of the biggest sanctuaries in the world, SARA was founded in 1996 and currently has 650 animals under our care.

The Friends of Paws in Prison Board of Directors, the Executive Director, and our Administrative Coordinator are all based in different central Texas cities, the Paws in Prison Program is physically located in the Lockhart Correctional Facility in Lockhart, Texas.

A 2016 establishment of a municipal government body is the Bexar County Animal Facility.
