We are a municipally administered animal shelter with open admissions. San Juan County has a contract with the City of Farmington, which operates the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter, to provide secure lodging for their animals. We are a member of Farmington's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs.

501c3 not-for-profit Farmington Pet Adoption Center, better known as FPAC, is a no-kill animal sanctuary. Our objective is to place all of the stray cats and dogs in Parkland with loving families.

4. New Leash Rescue

Our goal is to assist dogs and cats that are unable to advocate for themselves. Animals in need are brought to us from shelters, impounds, and owner surrenders and are given the veterinary care and behavioral assistance they require to be placed in long-term, devoted homes.

All rescued animals are cared for by Last Hope's network of foster homes until permanent homes are located. All of the animals in its network of foster homes receive veterinary care, food, supplies, and spay/neuter procedures through Last Hope.

Leadership and strategic guidance are responsibilities of the Board of Directors of the Franklin County Animal Shelter. The Board is made up residents who are dedicated to providing homeless animals with sanctuary until they can be adopted by loving families.
