We think that every animal, including those living in the worst conditions, deserves to be treated with respect and given the chance to find a permanent family. We are a community of caring individuals who donate their time, money, and hearts to ensure that our animals have the best possible emotional, mental, and physical health and well-being prior to being adopted by a devoted family. The sole source of funding for Every Dog's Dream Rescue, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, is community donations. Now operating under the name Every Cat's Dream, we are known as Every Dog's Dream Rescue, Inc.

Since 1956, the Broome County Dog Shelter has been in existence. Although Broome County permits canines to use its housing facilities, the shelter runs without county financing.

We are committed to stopping animal cruelty and helping mistreated, abandoned, and homeless animals find new homes. By providing sanctuary for animals, helping them find homes, looking into complaints of animal abuse, educating people of all ages, and saving animals from danger, we assist the community.

We are a cat-only animal shelter. Only in extreme circumstances of suffering or life-threatening sickness is euthanasia used.

Through outreach and compassion, the Humane Society of Livingston County will aim to end animal abuse, reduce animal overpopulation, and lessen animal suffering in our neighborhood.
