UCAPS Adoption Center

The Union County Animal Protection Society (UCAPS) is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization devoted to the welfare of animals in Union County, Arkansas. It was founded in 1985. The shelter facility was built in 1988 and is situated at 1000 Sunset Road in El Dorado.

All breeds of dogs and cats who find their way to the Calhoun County Animal Center are treated well there.

Despite the fact that our group wants to save all animals, we mostly take care of cats and dogs. But we also have resources for horses, cattle, and exotic animals.

Over the past few years, this shelter has come a long way. Ty Oppelt serves as the shelter's director and animal control officer.

A private, non-profit, tax-exempt group called H.O.P.E. (Help Orphaned Pets Everywhere) is devoted to caring for abandoned animals and offering them preventative medical care, food, and shelter until we can find them a new home.

A no-kill animal sanctuary with a focus on cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies, we are a 501c3 organization. Each of our devoted animals is looking for their perfect permanent home.
