Franklin County Animal Control

Through fund raising, instruction, community awareness, volunteer & fostering programs, and other efforts, the Franklin County Humane Society is working to do its bit to put a stop to this awful situation.

All of Gulf County, Florida, is serviced by St. Joseph Bay Humane Society. Every year, we take in about 500 animals. More than 80% of the dogs we get have heartworm disease. Additionally, we collaborate with several breed-specific rescues.

Each indoor dog run is equipped with a bed, food bowl, toys, and enough space for even the biggest dogs to wander around comfortably. Each day, our kennel technicians and volunteers clean them.

Pet owners in Bay County who are unable to care for their animals must make an appointment to surrender them by calling the Bay County Animal Control Shelter.

The people of Lynn Haven are renowned for their kindness and love for our animal population, and they frequently ask what they can donate to support our shelter.

By offering foster homes and an adoption program, our organization's goal is to decrease the amount of stray and abandoned animals in our neighborhood.
