DAWG is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to the rescue, treatment, and re-homing of animals in need. DAWG was founded in that year.

The mission of DAWG is to save the stray animals in Denison, Texas. In our first three years of operation, we are pleased to have achieved a 99% live release rate. Every day, volunteers make a difference by collaborating with the City of Denison and the local community.

Since 1990, the Sherman Animal Shelter has collaborated with the neighborhood to aid in the return of stray animals to their owners and the placement of unwanted animals. We take in a lot of animals throughout the year, including stray animals and pets whose owners have given up.

ARFhouse is a haven for abused and abandoned canines. We are on their side. Any dog without a home is welcomed by ARFhouse. We shelter and provide care for about 350 dogs at a given time.

In order to aid animals in North Texas, and particularly in the Texoma region, Bluebonnet Animal Rescue Network (BARN) was established in 2013. Since we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit free from federal income tax, you can deduct all of your donations from your taxes to the fullest degree permitted by law.
