Tails Humane Society

We are a group of concerned citizens from DeKalb, Illinois, who have come together to work on reducing the number of feral cats in our neighborhoods. We have trapped and sterilized countless feral cats and kittens since 2004.

The Barn on Baseline has been saving dogs and cats that no one else is willing to take in for more than 40 years. We started in 1975, and although it has required a lot of love, effort, and attention, the animals still make every day enjoyable for us!

Through animal sheltering, pet placement, education, and law enforcement, Kane County Animal Control oversees rabies registration, protects public safety, and ensures the humane treatment of animals.

A non-profit no-kill animal refuge is called Just Animals. Since 1997, we have provided service to Grundy and neighboring Counties. Donations and fundraisers provide us with all of our funding.

501(c)(3) non-profit organization Tiny N Tall Rescue is made up of volunteers who are committed to giving small and giant breed dogs temporary shelter, medical attention, and behavioral support while they transition into carefully vetted homes.
