SPCA of Texas' Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center

One of the biggest municipal animal shelters in the nation, Dallas Animal Services (DAS) accepts any homeless pets in Dallas regardless of available space. Each year, DAS provides services to tens of thousands of animals as well as even more people in the city of Dallas.

We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization with the goal of rescuing and rehabilitating pit bull-type canines while also advocating for them.

To directly assist Dallas Animal Services in achieving its mission of providing compassionate care for shelter animals and finding suitable homes for all adoptable pets by supporting initiatives and services that further this mission.

The DAWG Project helps pet owners keep their animals by helping with vetting, food, and supplies. It also works to rescue at-risk animals from municipal shelters and locate adoptive homes.

The Dog & Kitty City shelter has been run by the Humane Society of Dallas County for more than 40 years. Our goal is to educate the Dallas community about ethical pet ownership while also providing a safe and healthy environment for the mistreated and neglected animals of Dallas.
