Jackson County Animal Shelter

West of West Virginia, in the county of Mason, is the animal shelter. Animals are kept in compliance with state laws and may be reclaimed by the owner, adopted, or, as a last option, put down. As a county shelter with a high admission, we require rescue assistance!

We look into allegations of animal abuse and neglect, and we also collect stray dogs around the county.

Since 1986, Putnam County residents have been receiving services from the Putnam County Animal Shelter in Red House, West Virginia. In the county, the shelter offers temporary lodging and care for stray, unwanted, and owner-rendered animals. They make every effort to place these creatures in long-term, devoted homes.

The Roane County Animal Shelter fulfills its role as a facility for animal care and management. At their refuge, stray, surrendered, and abandoned animals can find a caring hand.

We help animals in need, provide loving permanent homes for stray animals, reunite owners with their missing pets, teach people how to treat and respect animals, and enforce licensing and other animal legislation.

In an effort to improve the lives of neighborhood cats and the people who care for them, a group of volunteers created Dream Away Cat Rescue. collaborating closely with caregivers to make sure cats are healthy and don't exacerbate the issue of pet overpopulation that we are already tackling.
