Cortland County SPCA

Our goal is to reduce the number of cats and dogs in Central New York, as this will benefit our neighborhood.

The Ithaca, New York-based SPCA of Tompkins County was founded with the purpose of defending domestic animals. We are a no-kill facility devoted to stopping animal abuse and overcrowding.

The Home Stretch Dog Haven is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded after we recognized how emotionally complex dogs are and how much suffering they endure when they are homeless or subjected to abuse, neglect, and trauma.

In 2006, Wayward Paws, Inc. was established. We are a tiny, volunteer-run rescue and adoption organization that works assiduously to place unwanted cats and kittens with loving permanent homes.

Through outreach and compassion, the Humane Society of Livingston County will aim to end animal abuse, reduce animal overpopulation, and lessen animal suffering in our neighborhood.

Since then, the initiative has helped over 140 prisoners and fostered over 500 dogs! All of the dogs we rescue are native dogs in need of assistance from the CNY community, and we're pleased to say that!a
