The Ithaca, New York-based SPCA of Tompkins County was founded with the purpose of defending domestic animals. We are a no-kill facility devoted to stopping animal abuse and overcrowding.

The Animal Control Office manages rabies-related public safety issues, enforces the State of Michigan's dog laws, and grants dog licenses. Only two Animal Control Officers and an Animal Shelter Officer oversee the Gratiot County Animal Shelter. We don't manage wildlife.
