As required by Chapter 955 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Pickaway County Canine Shelter is a county-owned and -operated dog shelter.

Rescue and rehoming of companion animals is our mission. Spaying and neutering helps to minimize animal overpopulation and euthanasia rates for companion animals.

GAP is a foster care organization that works throughout central Ohio. We have a strong commitment to saving animals and providing them FURever homes.

Since our foundation in 1912, the Ross County Humane Society has been committed to the general welfare, shelter and placement of animals, prevention of cruelty and over population, and education concerning humane treatment of all living creatures.

The Ross County Humane Society was founded in 1912 and has always been dedicated to the welfare of everyone, providing refuge and adoption services for animals, preventing cruelty and overpopulation, and promoting humane treatment of all living things.

When we first started, we had a tiny shelter where people could adopt cats and kittens. We usually adopt 150–200 cats annually, but we were having trouble seeing a decline in the number of stray cats in our neighborhood.
