Cincinnati Animal CARE / Hamilton County Animal Shelter

Members of the Association for Animal Welfare Advancement work together to save, shelter, rehabilitate, and place animals in loving homes.

As the most vulnerable members of the cat population, orphaned and abandoned newborn kittens are the focus of Orphan Kitten Crew, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue initiative.

Teams of volunteers care for the animals in two-shift shifts every day, every day of the year, until we can find them permanent, devoted homes.

We take in neglected and abandoned dogs and cats and give them a home and quality treatment until they are adopted. We fervently advocate sterilization and neutering.

Animals of various species in need of a temporary home and nourishment can find one at the Ohio Pet Sanctuary while they wait for their forever home.

Any animal that enters the shelter receives care from us, including food, medical attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection to help them adjust to their new homes.
