The Hearts of Hancock Humane Society was founded with the goals of ending animal suffering, preventing cruelty to animals, and promoting humane education. The society's policy is to seek acceptable homes for abandoned animals, humane care and treatment for cats and dogs in need of protection in the society's service area, and the return of lost pets to their owners.

The Humane Society of McDonough County (HSMC), founded in 1984, is a qualified 501(c)3 charitable organization and a State of Illinois Not-for-Profit organization that supports the McDonough County Animal Shelter while remaining entirely independent of it.

Our shelter was established in 2002, and it is run by a hardworking and compassionate volunteer staff. SCHS is an entirely independent organization that is not connected to any regional or international groups.

Our goal is to protect the animals in our care until they are placed in their forever homes.

The Quincy Humane Society is dedicated to the protection and wise management of animals: All living things, in our opinion, are intrinsically valuable.  We'll give them a home and take care of them.

Homeward Bound Waggin, Inc.'s mission is to provide companion animals a second shot at life by striving to stop animal abuse, relieve animal suffering, and offer safe transportation to a safe haven.
