It has been 153 years since the City of Los Angeles Animal Services Department was founded. Saving animals' lives who find up at one of the six city shelters is one of the Department's primary responsibilities.

Volunteers from Serenity Place Rescue come together to aid homeless, sick, injured, scared, and abandoned cats and kittens who would otherwise perish on the streets.

An animal adoption center called AGWC Rockin' Rescues works to place rescued dogs and cats in well-deserved forever homes.

A 501(c)3 organization called LA Community Cats was founded with the goal of honoring and recognizing wild cats as community cats. Every cat would have a home in an ideal world.

Boxer Rescue Los Angeles, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1977, is devoted to assisting Boxers in need to find loving homes as well as assisting those seeking to provide homes to choose the Boxer that best suits them. Our goal is a responsible lifetime match for every adoption.

The goal of OBOL has been to enhance homeless animals' health and raise their prospects of survival and adoption since the organization's founding in January 2008. We want to stop animal euthanasia and homelessness.
