HFLCS Canine & Feline Rescue

For lost, unwanted, and abandoned pets, the Polk County Humane Society provides a lifetime of protection, affection, and companionship. We offer a safe haven and care in a no-kill setting for animals awaiting a second opportunity.

Our goal is to provide every homeless pet the opportunity to excel at what they do best.

The City Pound, which is located at 18719 Gateway Road, is where the animals depicted are currently kept. Before acquiring ownership, we firmly advise owners to see the animals in person.

Southwest Missouri's first cage-free, no-kill cat shelter is called Eden Animal Haven. We have 501(c)(3) non-profit status and a Missouri state license.

Since its founding, Dogwood Animal Shelter has been supported by volunteers. A few committed individuals generated enough money via sales and auctions to construct a modest structure, and in 1976 the much needed refuge became a 501(c)3.
