Springfield Animal Shelter

By running a shelter for animals in need of care, finding homes for animals, and providing educational programs that support animal welfare, the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri works to lessen the suffering and misery of animals.

C.A.R.E., also known as Castaway Animals Rescue Effort, is a charity 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to ending animal abuse. Since its inception in 1992, C.A.R.E. has saved more than 25,000 lives, and we're still tally-ing them.

Watching Over Whiskers provides regular vetting to assist in placing cats in loving homes, as well as case-by-case Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance and emergency vet care for cats.

An all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit group called Greyhound Pet Adoption Springfield MO offers information, education, advocacy for adoption, and adoption of retired racing greyhounds.
