Brooke County Animal Shelter

Our goal is to save abandoned, abused, and otherwise "at risk" dogs and cats. Our attention is drawn to the elderly, those who are ill, and those who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected.

The Wheeling Island Greyhound Adoption Center is a group devoted to helping greyhounds find devoted homes. Volunteers spread the word to the public through community service projects that these purebred ex-racing dogs make wonderful, devoted companions and are available for adoption into suitable homes.

Should stop using euthanasia as a population control measure. to offer affordable services to help minimize the amount of litter. to bring together local supporters of animal welfare for greater influence on the animals. to improve the quality of life for animals in our neighborhood. to offer community animal caregivers resources. to make sure that anyone who wants to help animals may access the resources they need.

The Marshall County Commission and the Marshall County Animal Rescue League collaborate to create a safe sanctuary for stray cats and dogs. All expenses for caring for cats and kittens are covered by the rescue league, which also operates the shelter.
