Finally Home Animal Sanctuary

The goal of N.G.A., a non-profit greyhound adoption group, is to house ex-racers, neuter each one, and integrate them into the local communities. As they unwind and acclimate to their golden years, dogs are welcomed into our kennel and socialized with our volunteers and other Greyhounds.

With the ultimate objective of finding them good, permanent homes within the community, Franklin County Humane Society (doing business as Franklin County Animal Rescue) supports the health, welfare, and humane treatment of animals in Northwestern Vermont and offers them temporary sanctuary.

Our main goal is to have the greatest possible good impact. The momentum we require is provided by our volunteers. We pursue initiatives that benefit both our community and our cats by using community-driven methods.

The goal of North Country Animal League is to encourage kind and ethical interactions between people and animals.

In November 2007, Justice for Dogs was established. Our founder, Amy Touchette, saw that the prospects for dogs who didn't make it into the typical shelters were bleak. Even the more difficult to adopt animals, she thought every dog deserved a shot at a loving home. All of them could find wonderful homes with love and care, and many years later, we have been very successful in doing just that.

A Canine Gem is an all-volunteer, accredited 501(c)(3) dog rescue group whose mission is to save, rehabilitate, and place dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, colors, abilities, and states of health in loving, permanent homes.
