PAWS

Our goal at Anderson County PAWS is to provide shelter, adoption, information, spay/neuter services, and community outreach for animals in need.

The Anderson County Area's animals will have better lives. We carry out this purpose through a variety of initiatives, events, and activities.

Our goal is to offer a home for stray and unwanted animals and, through education, to combat suffering and overpopulation.

The Oconee Animal Shelter serves as the headquarters for both the Oconee County Sheriff's Department Animal Control Unit and the Oconee Humane Society. Animal Control is in charge of managing all aspects of the shelter's operations, including the vaccination and care of the animals. They respond to community concerns and animal-related issues. The adoption and spay/neuter programs are handled by the Oconee Humane Society.
