Paws Animal Shelter

The activities of Friends of the Orleans County Animal Shelter, Inc., a domestic not-for-profit New York State Corporation, are funded by donations.

Promote adoptions from the Genesee County Animal Shelter with my help. This is accomplished through advertising in the local media, on the Internet, and through an extensive email list.

Animal care non-profit Volunteers For Animals, Inc. was founded in 1984. With the Genesee County Animal Shelter, we collaborate. In upstate New York, halfway between Buffalo and Rochester is Batavia, where The Shelter is situated.

We are a committed group of people who devote our lives to finding acceptable homes for lost, abandoned, and surrendered animals that are in danger of being put down in and around Rochester, New York.

Since then, more committed men and women have joined what was once a modest team. We have a sizable core of volunteers, each of whom brings something great to the table. They come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances.

Rescuing domesticated animals (cats, dogs, and some small animals) who have been abandoned, turned in, stray, abused, and/or neglected in order to give them shelter and medical attention in the hopes of assisting them in finding their future homes.
