At the Animal Shelter, we put a lot of effort into trying to find homes for dogs and cats. We think that every animal deserves to be loved and cared for by a family. Please think about adopting an animal as opposed to buying one from a breeder.

A non-profit group called All Kind Animal Initiative was founded in Abilene, Texas, with the goal of enhancing local animal care.

A group of animal lovers came together in the late 1960s to attempt to better the circumstances of the abandoned animals that were roaming the region. Later that year, the organisation was formed under the name Taylor Jones Humane Society.
