Garden Grove Animal Hospital

Dr. Mitsie Vargas, a graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama, founded Orchid Springs Animal Hospital in 1996. After working in a feline-only practice in Coral Gables, Florida, she decided to strike out on her own and relocate to Winter Haven. She started her clinic by remodeling a modest area that had formerly been a restaurant. With time, O.S.A.H.'s popularity rose to the point where it surpassed its one-doctor location. Plans were eventually put in place to construct a new building to better accommodate Dr. Vargas' patients, clients, and employees.

We are a small animal private practice in Winter Haven, Florida. Since the 1970s, we've been a member of the Winter Haven and Lake Alfred communities. We take pleasure in the care we give our community's pets and the relationships we build with each of our customers. We take the time to become acquainted with you and your pet.

Our clinic has strived to stay up with the ever-changing nature of veterinary practice since its inception, with a continuous program of continuing education and a conscious effort to use the most contemporary instruments and equipment available. We must keep up with the most current aspects of veterinary treatment due to the nature of our facilities and employees.

It's a fact! Our new 20,000-square-foot Specialty Referral and Emergency Center has broken ground. This hospital will be distinctive, with a variety of special features for our clients, furry patients, and employees. It will have 15 exam rooms, an eight-table central emergency and treatment area, four specialized surgery suites, and a café with speciality coffees and healthy snacks. Our new facility is meant to improve the health and well-being of our community's pets and humans while also pushing the boundaries of veterinary practice. We can't wait to tell you about it!
