Pet Kare Clinic began as a mobile veterinary clinic in 1987, founded by Dr. Sam Taliaferro. We've gradually expanded to a five-doctor, full-service veterinary hospital since then. We are an AAHA-certified veterinary facility that ranks in the top 12-15 percent of all veterinary facilities in North America. The AAHA certification ensures that the care we give meets the highest veterinary standards to ensure your pet's health.

Mountain Peaks Veterinary Clinic in Steamboat Springs provides pet parents with a veterinary alternative that considers your pet's overall health. Dr. Baillo, our veterinarian, combines her experience in traditional veterinary medicine with her love for alternative veterinary medicine to provide a balanced approach to treatment that protects your pet's health. Rather than practicing "cookie-cutter" medicine, we work closely with clients to educate them about western and alternative therapy choices. While you can bring your pet to us for conventional procedures like vaccinations, diagnostics, and surgery, we also provide alternative medicine including acupuncture, cold laser therapy, homeopathic medicines, supplements, and more.

We'd like to share some extremely wonderful news with you. Our name has been changed to Ski Town Animal Hospital, and Dr. Reese Odenwelder has taken over as the practice's director.
