Initially, Sioux Nation Pet Clinic was THE destination for pet vaccinations, grooming, and nail trimming. Our monthly walk-in shot clinic, which we continue to hold on the first Saturday of every month, is the foundation of our strong reputation. Customers and their pets were waiting in line outside the entryway. Many individuals started inquiring if we performed dental work, surgeries, and X-rays. Due to the high demand for those services, we employed three veterinarians, placed large equipment orders, expanded our clinic, and gained a reputation for providing all-encompassing veterinary care.

The mission of South Central Veterinary Clinic is to care your pet with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Our top priority at South Central Veterinary Clinic is the wellness of your pet. We're in the center of Sioux Falls and work hard to make sure we meet all of your pet's needs with excellent care at a reasonable cost. Trautman, DVM, our doctor, grew up on a ranch north of Pierre, South Dakota, and received her bachelor's degree in animal science and pre-veterinary medicine from SDSU in Brookings, South Dakota. She received her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Texas A&M. She has a variety of interests, including veterinary medicine, animal rescue, outdoor pursuits including horseback riding, biking, and running, and charitable work.

Animal Clinic of Rapid City was founded in 1958 and has been a mainstay in the neighborhood for more than 60 years. We treat pets and pet owners from near and far since we are the only emergency veterinary hospital in a 250-mile radius.
